SMS / Text Message Program

Tenvale (operated by Tenvale LLC) runs an account-notifications text-message program. Text messages are sent only to people who have affirmatively opted in. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of using Tenvale. There are two opt-in paths, described below, each with the exact consent language the user sees.

The screenshots below show the live opt-in screens exactly as tenants and owners see them inside the Tenvale product.

Who receives messages, and what we send

  • Tenants of participating landlords — rent reminders, payment confirmations, maintenance updates, and direct messages from their landlord.
  • Property owners / managers — optional account alerts: late rent, payout failures, new tenant messages, lease-expiry and renewal reminders, and new maintenance requests.

Tenant opt-in

A landlord invites a tenant by email. The tenant clicks a unique account-activation link, which opens the activation page. There, separately from accepting the Terms of Service, the tenant may check a dedicated box that is unchecked by default. Checking this box is the tenant's affirmative SMS opt-in; it is not required to activate the account. The exact checkbox is:

Owner / manager opt-in

An owner or manager opens Settings → Notifications inside their Tenvale account, enters a mobile number, and checks a consent box that is off by default. Only then can they choose which account events should text them. The exact checkbox is:

Message frequency, rates, help, and opt-out

  • Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Tenvale does not charge you for these messages.
  • Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further text messages.
  • Opting in or out never affects your ability to use Tenvale; we continue to reach you by email.

Privacy
